Abstract

The essay argues that the political situation in the country in which miniseries and films are shown, determines whether they are severely criticized for being Americanized. Four Italian case studies show how the transatlantic political relations were a defining factor in framing cultural products as Americanization of the Holocaust for domestic purposes.
