Abstract
The author explains the driving forces and policy agendas relating to the establishment of Jewish museums in Europe. Four case studies are presented as examples of the kinds of policy questions which affect the development of Jewish museums. The policy issues introduced are relevant to the development of museums by other ethnic and religious minorities and interest groups.
