Abstract
In the late 1980s, JDC resumed its work in the Soviet Union. It continued to operate in the new countries that emerged upon its dissolution. Since then, it has focused on the fulfillment of two main goals: the renewal of Jewish life, through the establishment of community infrastructures and bringing Jews closer to their people and their culture, and support for the elderly and poor Jewish population. These goals are promoted primarily by the community organizations ‑ Hassadim and community centers (JCCs) ‑ scattered throughout FSU.

В конце 1980-х «Джойнт» возобновил свою работу в Советском Союзе; он продолжал и продолжает действовать в новых странах, возникших после распада СССР. В постсоветский период основными целями деятельности «Джойнта» являются: обновление еврейского образа жизни путём создания общинной инфраструктуры и сближения евреев бывшего СССР с еврейским народом и культурой в целом, а также поддержка пожилого и бедного еврейского населения. Эти цели осуществляются, прежде всего, общественными организациями, Хасадим и общинными центрами, разбросанными по всему бывшему Советскому Союзу, в работе которых критическая родь принадлежит волонтерам.
