Abstract
Der Band stellt Ergebnisse des Projekts Antisemitismusprävention im europäischen Schulunterricht (AIES) vor. Das Projekt untersucht die Thematisierung jüdischer Kultur und Geschichte im schulischen Kontext in vier europäischen Ländern (Deutschland, Frankreich, Spanien, Rumänien). Dabei wird die Überzeugung zugrunde gelegt, dass auch die Unterrichtspraxis einen wertvollen Beitrag zur Antisemitismusprävention leisten kann und muss – und letztere nicht auf ‚Kriseninterventionen‘ nach Vorfällen auf den Schulhöfen oder im Klassenraum beschränkt sein darf.
Translated Abstract
The volume presents results of the project Prevention of antisemitism in European school teaching (AIES). The project examines the thematization of Jewish culture and history in the school context in four European countries (Germany, France, Spain, Romania). It is based on the conviction that teaching practice can and must also make a valuable contribution to the prevention of anti-Semitism –and the latter must not be limited to ‚crisis interventions‘ following incidents in schoolyards or classrooms.
