Abstract

This comprehensive report offers a turn-of-the-century update on the fundamental British Jewry in the Eighties. Encompassing a vast range of aspects of the British Jewish community, this publication aspires to answer the majority of demographic and sociological questions one may have regarding British Jewry. It maps out population surveys, religious behavior, Jewish and secular education, employment of British Jews and relations with Israel. All this is done with sensitivity to the different Jewish camps in Britain, and changes that have occurred in recent decades.
