Abstract
In 2017 zagen we een verdere daling van racisme, moslimdiscriminatie en extreemrechts geweld. Wel zagen we een stijging van het intentioneel antisemitisme.
Naast de beschrijving van deze resultaten, bevat dit rapport een apart hoofdstuk over de trends in de afgelopen vijf jaar ten aanzien van antisemitische, racistische en antimoslimincidenten. Deze trends worden in verband gebracht met maatschappelijke ontwikkelingen. De basis voor de cijfers in deze rapportage zijn de registraties van de politie.
Deze zevende rapportage racisme, antisemitisme en extreemrechts geweld in Nederland, is de laatste zoals die in deze vorm zal verschijnen. Het Verwey-Jonker Instituut, in opdracht van de Anne Frank Stichting, zal zich met deze thema’s blijven bezighouden, maar in een andere vorm.
Aangezien de eigen rapportage van de politie en deze rapportage in de loop der jaren steeds meer op elkaar zijn gaan lijken, is voor ons nu de tijd gekomen om op een andere manier inhoud te geven aan deze thema’s.

In 2017 we saw a further decline in racism, Muslim discrimination and right-wing extremist violence. We did, however, see an increase in intentional anti-Semitism.

These trends are associated with social developments. The basis for the figures in this report are the registrations of the police.
This seventh report on racism, anti-Semitism and right-wing extremist violence in the Netherlands is the last to appear in this form. The Verwey-Jonker Institute, commissioned by the Anne Frank House, will continue to occupy itself with these themes, but in a different form.
