Abstract
A kommunista rendszer bukása után Magyarországon is megjelent a nyílt antiszemitizmus. Voltak, akik úgy vélték, hogy mindez csak a szólásszabadság intézményesítésének kellemetlen következménye: most nyíltabban jutnak kifejezésre a korábban is meglévő, de lappangó antiszemita nézetek és ideológiák. Mások viszont megdöbbenéssel fogadtak a fejleményeket: attól tartottak, hogy a rendszerváltozás okozta megrázkódtatások újra életre keltették, felerősítették a korábbi évtizedek során halványulni látszott zsidóellenes előítéleteket.Valóban sok minden hangzik el ma az utcán, jelenik meg a házfalakon, újságokban, ami félelmet kelthet és kelt. De jogosak-e ezek a félelmek? Riasztó mértékű-e máris a zsidóellenesség a mai Magyarországon? Ebben a könyvben a magyarországi zsidóellenes előítéletek alakulását vizsgáltuk meg az elmúlt másfél évtizedben végzett szociológiai kutatások adatainak alapján. Az elemzés képet rajzol a zsidóellenes előítéletek gyakoriságáról, intenzitásáról, tartalmáról, kiváltó okairól és az előítéletes csoportokról. A különböző időpontokban keletkezett adatsorok összevetése során mindenekelőtt arra a kérdésre keresünk választ, hogy az előítéletesség változásai mögött kirajzolódnak-e az antiszemitizmus politizálódásának tendenciái, és azonosítható-e egy olyan számottevő csoport a mai magyar társadalomban, amely fogékony a politikai antiszemitizmus ideológiájára.

After the fall of the communist system, open anti-Semitism appeared in Hungary as well. There were those who believed that all this was just an unpleasant consequence of the institutionalization of freedom of speech: now the previously existing but latent anti-Semitic views and ideologies are now more openly expressed. Others, on the other hand, were shocked by the developments: they were afraid that the upheavals caused by the change in the system had revived and strengthened the anti-Jewish prejudices that had seemed to fade in the previous decades. Indeed, many things are being said on the streets today, appearing on the walls of houses and in newspapers, which can and do cause fear. . But are these fears justified? Is anti-Semitism already at an alarming level in today's Hungary? In this book, we examined the development of anti-Jewish prejudice in Hungary based on data from sociological research conducted over the past decade and a half. The analysis paints a picture of the frequency, intensity, content, root causes and prejudiced groups of anti-Jewish prejudice. When comparing the data series created at different times, we are first of all looking for an answer to the question of whether trends in the politicization of anti-Semitism emerge behind the changes in prejudice, and whether it is possible to identify a significant group in today's Hungarian society that is susceptible to the ideology of political anti-Semitism.
