Das Jahr 2020 war von der Coronapandemie und staatlichen Maßnahmen zu ihrer Eindämmung (im Folgenden kurz Coronamaßnahmen) geprägt. Ab Mitte März 2020 wurde das öffentliche Leben bundesweit zum Teil erheblich eingeschränkt. Während sich viele Aspekte des gesellschaftlichen Lebens ins Internet verlagerten, kam es seit April im gesamten Bundesgebiet zu zahlreichen Protesten gegen die Coronamaßnahmen. In diesem Zusammenhang kam es immer wieder zu antisemitischen Vorfällen. Auch im Internet erfassten Meldestellen eine Vielzahl antisemitischer Vorfälle.
