Abstract
This document is a digest of data gathered from four groundbreaking research studies conducted by the UCL Centre for
Holocaust Education between 2008 and 2025. It draws on research with teachers and students in England, giving combined participant totals of over 3,000 teachers and 12,000 students. Cumulatively, these national studies represent the most sustained, in-depth empirical research conducted anywhere in the world into how the Holocaust is taught and learnt about in schools.
