Wie zeigt sich Antisemitismus im Jugendstrafvollzug? Wie wird in Haftanstalten mit antisemitischen Vorfällen umgegangen? Und welche Handlungsbedarfe gibt es, insbesondere im Hinblick auf den Schutz von inhaftierten Jüdinnen*Juden? Ein Team der Hochschule Merseburg unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Jens Borchert hat in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Anne Frank Zentrum in einer bundesweiten Studie erstmals dezidiert zu Antisemitismus im Jugendstrafvollzug geforscht. In vier Jugendstrafanstalten wurden insgesamt 32 Interviews mit Mitarbeiter*innen der Haftanstalten sowie politischen Bildner*innen externer Träger geführt. Die vorliegende Publikation stellt die zentralen Forschungsergebnisse sowie Handlungsempfehlungen zum Umgang mit Antisemitismus im Strafvollzug vor.
Translated Abstract
How does antisemitism manifest itself in juvenile detention centers? How are antisemitic incidents handled in these institutions? And what action is needed, particularly regarding the protection of incarcerated Jews? A team from Merseburg University of Applied Sciences, led by Prof. Dr. Jens Borchert, in collaboration with the Anne Frank Center, has conducted the first nationwide study specifically addressing antisemitism in juvenile detention centers. A total of 32 interviews were conducted in four juvenile detention centers with staff members and political educators from external organizations. This publication presents the key research findings and recommendations for addressing antisemitism in the penal system.
