Abstract
Since the 7 October 2023 attacks on Israel and the ensuing war in the Middle East, British Jews have experienced a sharp and alarming rise in antisemitism. Drawing on six focus group discussions with British Jews held between December 2025 and March 2026, this report discusses how participants perceive key institutions as failing to protect them and treat them fairly, and the impact of these failures on their daily lives and wellbeing. It concludes with recommendations shaped by participants’ own proposals for addressing the institutional failures they identified.
