Abstract
Die Studie untersucht die Darstellung Israels und des israelisch-palästinensischen Konflikts in deutschen Print- und Onlinemedien im Jahr 2023. Sie sensibilisiert für Verzerrungen sowie Aussagen, an die antisemitische oder rassistische Deutungsmuster anschließen können oder die Antisemitismus reproduzieren. Die Analyse zeigt unter anderem eine starke Fokussierung auf Gewalt und Eskalation, die Nutzung von NS-Analogien, eine tendenzielle Darstellung von Israel als alleinigem Aggressor, die Relativierung terroristischer Gewalt sowie eine häufig fehlende Kontextualisierung etwa historischer Ereignisse.
Translated Abstract
This study examines the portrayal of Israel and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in German print and online media in 2023. It raises awareness of distortions and statements that can be linked to antisemitic or racist interpretations or that reproduce antisemitism. The analysis reveals, among other things, a strong focus on violence and escalation, the use of Nazi analogies, a tendency to portray Israel as the sole aggressor, the relativization of terrorist violence, and a frequent lack of contextualization of historical events.
