Educational models and forms of acculturation
Jews are, according to the author, the result of a continuous interaction with history and with other human groups among which they happened to live. In this process of incessant transformation, Jews acquired their specific patterns of understanding reality. The way of transmitting memories, and their contents, are in general one of the main features of Judaism. In this article, the author tries to identify and to explain the content of the collective memory of Italian Jews at the time of the country's political unification as well as nowadays.
