Abstract
Wie manifestiert sich der Antisemitismus in einer rechtspopulistischen Partei? Mit dieser Studie schließt Paula Tuschling eine Forschungslücke, indem sie das Verhältnis der AfD zum Antisemitismus im Allgemeinen sowie anhand des Falls Wolfgang Gedeon im Besonderen untersucht. Die Fallanalyse entschlüsselt unterschiedliche Formen des Antisemitismus in veröffentlichten Schriften des AfD-Landtagsabgeordneten und setzt die Causa Gedeon sowie den Umgang der AfD mit innerparteilichen Antisemitismus-Fällen in einen Gesamtzusammenhang. Die Arbeit spannt den Bogen von der historischen Kontinuität des Antisemitismus bis zu dem inhärent darin angelegten Glauben an Verschwörungsideologien und identifiziert diesen als zentrales Element der rechtspopulistischen Rhetorik.
Translated Abstract
How does anti-Semitism manifest itself in a right-wing populist party? With this study, Paula Tuschling closes a research gap by examining the relationship of the AfD to anti-Semitism in general and the case of Wolfgang Gedeon in particular. The case analysis decodes different forms of anti-Semitism in published writings by the AfD member of parliament and puts the Causa Gedeon and the AfD’s handling of anti-Semitism cases within the party in an overall context. The work spans the arc from the historical continuity of anti-Semitism to the inherent belief in conspiracy ideologies and identifies this as a central element of right-wing populist rhetoric
