Abstract
Im Jahr 2020 wurden der Antisemitismus-Meldestelle der Israelitischen Kultusgemeinde Wien (IKG) insgesamt 585 antisemitische Vorfälle gemeldet. Dies entspricht im Vergleich zum Vorjahr (550 Vorfälle) einem Anstieg um 6,4 Prozent und somit der höchsten erfassten Anzahl antisemitischer Vorfälle seit Beginn der Dokumentation vor 19 Jahren. Dieser Bericht ist keine gesamthafte Darstellung des Antisemitismus in Österreich. Gezählt wurden jene antisemitischen Vorfälle, die gemeldet wurden und nach einer Prüfung durch die Expertinnen und Experten der AntisemitismusMeldestelle als eindeutig antisemitisch gemäß der IHRA-Definition klassifiziert wurden.
Translated Abstract
In 2020, a total of 585 anti-Semitic incidents were reported to the anti-Semitism reporting office of the Israelitische Kultusgemeinde Wien (IKG). Compared to the previous year (550 incidents), this corresponds to an increase of 6.4 percent and thus the highest recorded number of anti-Semitic incidents since documentation began 19 years ago. This report is not a comprehensive representation of anti-Semitism in Austria. Those anti-Semitic incidents that were reported and were classified as clearly anti-Semitic according to the IHRA definition after an examination by the experts of the anti-Semitism reporting office were counted.
