Abstract

This anthology seeks to capture modern Israel as a laboratory of diverse voices talking to each other about what it means to be a Jewish society at the end of the 20th Century. Topics covered include: Zionism, Post-Zionism and Jewish self-understanding; identity, pluralism and relevance; new relationships for Israeli and Diaspora Jews; and cultural and artistic expressions of Israel. Also included are tutorial group presentations from Wexner Foundation Israel events.
