Abstract

This issue of Contact Magazine discusses the implications of the current moment in Jewish American history as one of unprecedented acceptance of Jewish culture by the majority society. Bethamie Horowitz writes about the opportunity to use this moment to focus our concerns on problems pertaining to larger society. Aaron Bisman presents his experiences working in the field of Jewish music in mainstream culture. Judith Baskin talks about university programs in Jewish Studies. This issue also includes articles by David Gedzelman, Rabbi Kerry Olitzky, Adam Simon, Lesley Litman, and Anne Lanski.
