Abstract

В статье рассказывается об организации и проведении экспе-диций Центра «Сэфер» в Гродненскую и Витебскую области Республики Бе-ларусь в 2012–2016 гг. Эти экспедиции стали частью масштабного проекта по изучению духовной и материальной культуры восточноевропейского еврейства в советский и постсоветский периоды. Работа этнографических групп проводилась на основе специально составленных вопросников, отра-жающих региональную специфику этнокультурного соседства и локальные особенности еврейской традиционной культуры. Особое внимание уделя-лось устной истории – записанные нарративы не только дали богатый ма-териал для изучения восприятия «большой истории» индивидуальным со-знанием, но также позволили раскрыть механизмы трансляции историче-ской памяти в условиях, когда само этническое соседство ушло в прошлое.

Translated Abstract

The article talks about the organization and conduct of expeditions of the Center «Sefer» to the Grodno and Vitebsk regions of the Republic of Belarus in 2012–2016. These expeditions became part of a large-scale project to study the spiritual and material culture of Eastern European Jewry in the Soviet and post-Soviet periods. The work of ethnographic groups was carried out on the basis of specially compiled questionnaires reflecting the regional specifics of the ethnocultural neighborhood and the local characteristics of Jewish traditional culture. Particular attention was paid to oral history – the recorded narratives not only provided rich material for studying the perception «of great history» of individual consciousness, but also made it possible to reveal the mechanisms of broadcasting historical memory in conditions when the ethnic neighborhood itself is a thing of the past.
