Abstract
80 Jahre nach der Befreiung der Juden aus den Konzentrationslagern und dem Ende der Shoah ist Feindseligkeit gegenüber Jüdinnen und Juden aktuell wie nie zuvor. Dieser Beitrag soll aufzeigen, warum eine vertiefte Auseinandersetzung mit Antisemitismus heute nach wie vor notwendig ist – gesamtgesellschaftlich und aus der Perspektive der Rechtspsychologie. Dafür wird zunächst ein Überblick über zentrale Merkmale und die Geschichte des Judentums und des Zionismus geliefert. Unterschiedliche Herangehensweisen bei der Operationalisierung von Antisemitismus werden diskutiert. Antisemitismus wird zudem in historische und soziale Kontexte eingebettet und die tiefe Verankerung von Judenfeindlichkeit in der Gesellschaft – damals wie heute – herausgearbeitet. Antisemitismus stellt eine Bedrohung für den gesellschaftlichen Zusammenhalt dar und ist ein relevanter Gegenstand der Rechtspsychologie. Aus historischer Sicht erwächst eine besondere ethische Verantwortung im Umgang mit Antisemitismus für die Disziplinen der Psychiatrie und der (Rechts–)Psychologie.

80 years after the liberation of Jews from concentration camps and the end of the Shoah, hostility toward Jews remains more relevant than ever. This article shows why an in-depth examination of antisemitism is still useful and necessary today, both in a societal context and from the perspective of forensic psychology. To this end, the article first provides an overview of the central characteristics and history of Judaism and Zionism. We discuss different approaches to operationalizing antisemitism and analyze antisemitism and the deep roots of hostility toward Jews in society, embedding it as well in historical and social contexts – then and now. Antisemitism represents a threat to social unity and is a relevant subject of forensic psychology. From a historical perspective, a special ethical responsibility arises for the disciplines of psychiatry and (forensic) psychology to deal with antisemitism.
