Abstract
Antisemitismus je podstatnou a téměř klíčovou součástí řady konspi- račních teorií, v nichž Židé zastávají roli abstraktní, odosobněné, dé- monické energie, která pohání ta největší spiknutí. Vždyť, co by to bylo za tajemné spiknutí, kdyby v něm nebyli zapojeni Židé? Svobodomysl- ná záhadologická scéna je vůči antisemitismu překvapivě zranitelná.
Translated Abstract
In the darker corridors of Western esoteric thought, the sincere desire to uncover hidden truths can move towards political extremism. The scene of conspiracy “debunkers” proves to be extremely vulnerable to anti- semitic hate-speech, mainly due to its lack of capabili- ty to !ilter out myths and hoaxes. Moreover, the article documents how the combination of commercial esote- rica with conspiracy theories can introduce antisemi- tism to much wider audiences than just the usual extre- mist fringes, due to the high impact of esoterica websites and bulletins on general society. Several examples of the most in!luential conspiracy theory websites in the Czech language as well as some of the most recent antisemi- tic conspiracy theories are also explored in this article.
