Abstract: The study analyses conspiratorial statements of Slovak politicians about George Soros. The author methodologically applies Zygmunt Bauman's concept of the so-called "conceptual Jew" to the statements of Slovak politicians about George Soros. In the study, the author analyses the statements of politicians from the parties SMER – SSD, ĽSNS, Republika, Slovenské Hnutie Obrody, and of former presidential candidate Štefan Harabin. The author does not neglect the aspect of humor and caricature. The author then puts the statements of Slovak politicians about George Soros into the broader historical context of anti-Semitic conspiracy theories.
