Abstract: De centrale kwestie van het onderzoeksproject was onderzoeken of immigratie uit het Midden-Oosten en Noord-Afrika sinds 2011 een invloed heeft gehad op antisemitische attitudes en gedragingen in West-Europa. Dit korte rapport is het resultaat van het samenvoegen van vijf afzonderlijke nationale rapporten (over België, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Nederland en het Verenigd Koninkrijk) en presenteert de bevindingen en aanbevelingen die uit het project als geheel naar voren zijn gekomen. Het rapport: • Onderzoekt recente migratie uit MENA-landen naar West-Europa • Presenteert een overzicht van de omvang en bronnen van antisemitisme in het huidige West-Europa • Geeft een beoordeling van de houdingen van MENA-migranten en de angsten die ze soms oproepen • Onderzoekt de geldigheid van beweringen dat het groeiende aantal MENA-migranten in West-Europa antisemitisme bevordert • Doet aanbevelingen voor actie door overheden en maatschappelijke organisaties en wijst op gebieden waar meer onderzoek vereist is om onze kennis en ons begrip te vergroten.

Abstract: Das zentrale Anliegen dieses Forschungsprojektes war es, zu ermitteln, ob sich die Immigration aus der Region Nahost und Nordafrika seit 2011 auf antisemitische Einstellungen und Verhaltensweisen in Westeuropa auswirkt. Dieser kurze Bericht stellt eine Zusammenführung fünf einzelner nationaler Berichte (zu Belgien, Frankreich, Deutschland, den Niederlanden und dem Vereinigten Königreich) dar und präsentiert die Ergebnisse und Empfehlungen, die sich aus dem Projekt als Ganzes ergeben.

Der Bericht:
• untersucht die aktuelle Zuwanderung aus Ländern der MENA-Region nach Westeuropa
• bietet einen Überblick über das Ausmaß und die Quellen des Antisemitismus im heutigen Westeuropa
• bietet eine Einschätzung der Einstellungen von MENA-Migranten sowie der Ängste, die sie teilweise hervorrufen
• untersucht die Berechtigung von Behauptungen, dass die wachsende Zahl an MENA-Migranten in Westeuropa den Antisemitismus fördert
• enthält Handlungsempfehlungen für Regierungen und zivilgesellschaftliche Organisationen und hebt Bereiche hervor, in denen weitere Untersuchungen erforderlich sind, um unser Wissen und Verständnis zu erweitern.

Abstract: L’enjeu central du projet était de comprendre si l’immigration en provenance du Moyen-Orient et d’Afrique du Nord depuis 2011 a une incidence sur les attitudes et les comportements antisémites en Europe occidentale.

Ce bref rapport est une synthèse de cinq rapports nationaux distincts (sur la Belgique, la France, l’Allemagne, les Pays-Bas et le Royaume-Uni) et présente des observations et recommandations ressortant de l’ensemble du projet.

Le rapport:
• Passe en revue les flux migratoires récents des pays MENA vers l’Europe de l’Ouest
• Fournit une vue générale de l’ampleur et des sources de l’antisémitisme en Europe de l’Ouest aujourd’hui
• Examine les attitudes des migrants MENA, ainsi que les peurs qu’ils peuvent parfois susciter
• Examine la validité de l’idée de plus en plus souvent exprimée selonlaquelle l’afflux croissant de migrants des pays MENA en Europe de l’Ouest entraînerait un regain d’antisémitisme
• Formule des recommandations d’action à l’intention des gouvernements et des organisations de la société civile, et pointe les domaines dans lesquels il faut approfondir les recherches pour produire des connaissances et mieux comprendre les mécanismes à l’œuvre.

Abstract: The central concern of the research project has been to investigate whether immigration from the Middle East and North Africa since 2011 has had an impact on antisemitic attitudes and behaviour in Western Europe.

This short report is a distillation of five separate national reports (on Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands and United Kingdom) and presents the findings and recommendations that emerge from the project as a whole.

The report:
• Surveys recent migration from MENA countries to Western Europe
• Presents an overview of the extent and sources of antisemitism in Western Europe today
• Provides an assessment of the attitudes of MENA migrants, as well as of the fears they sometimes elicit
• Examines the validity of claims that the growing number of MENA migrants in Western Europe promotes antisemitism
• Makes recommendations for action by governments and civil society organizations and highlights areas in which we need more research to extend our knowledge and understanding.
