Abstract: The author analyzes the participation of the representatives of Jewish community in the events on Maidan in Kyiv in winter 2013–2014. He studies the effect of xenophobia on Maidan and attempts to use it as a political technique against the Ukrainian national movement. The survey of the leading Jewish or‑ganizations of Ukraine and their attitude towards the events on Maidan are pre‑sented in the article. The author concludes that the “Jewish question” has been used by different political forces at Maidan. The representatives of the Ukrainian national movement tried to declare themselves tolerant, thus aiming to neutralize the theses of Russian propaganda about “fascists on Maidan”
