Abstract
This paper monitors the ongoing evolution of Canadian Jewry by using the Canadian Census data to compare the overall development of the Jewish population to the overall population trends in Canada. Canadian Jewry has a reasonable proportion of children to sustain itself in the near future, but has an increasingly aged population, where the senior segment (aged 65 and over) is almost sure to be at least 1/5 of all Canadian Jews by the time of the 2001 census.
