Abstract

The author looks at the left's recent criticism of Israel and argues that it fails what he calls the "Bigotry 101" test. In his own terminology, the Bigotry-finder rule 101 is as follows: Take a situation, change the race, religion, sexual orientation, or other aspect of the players' identities, and see if the same results apply. He outlines the ways in which criticism of Israeli policies can be acceptable and how the left's critiques fall outside this framework.
