Abstract

Outreach to the intermarried should not appear on the agenda of the Jewish community at all as an independent issue. Our highest priority should be helping those who are already part of the community become more solidly identified with Judaism. After the challenge is met, we can adapt successful "inreach" strategies to use for outreach to the intermarried. When outreach programs are implemented, they must have the goal of conversion of the non-Jewish spouse.
