Abstract
Antisemitismus ist ein auf judeophoben Stereotypen basierendes Glaubens- und Weltdeutungssystem, das im kollektiven Bewusstsein der abendländischen Denk- und Gefühlsstrukturen verankert und im kommunikativen Gedächtnis durch seit Jahrhunderten reproduzierte Sprachgebrauchsmuster gespeichert ist. Die Inhalte dieses Systems sind nicht nur kognitiv, sondern maßgeblich auch emotional bestimmt. Dies spiegelt sich in aktuellen antisemitischen Texten und ihrer ausgeprägten Hass-Metaphorik wider. In diesem Artikel soll anhand empirischer Daten erörtert werden, welche Relevanz die (bislang kaum beachtete) emotionale Dimension für die Erklärung des aktuellen (und auch des historischen) Antisemitismus hat. Dabei liegt der Fokus auf dem Phänomen des VerbalAntisemitismus, also der durch Sprache vermittelten Gewalt gegen Juden und Judentum. Es geht um das (kulturell geprägte) Emotionspotenzial und die stereotyperhaltende Semantik sprachlicher Strukturen, die ein judeophobes Weltbild widerspiegeln. Dabei wird erläutert, auf welcher Konzeptualisierung der aktuelle Antisemitismus basiert, wobei das antisemitische Ressentiment als kulturhistorischer Gefühlswert erklärt wird.

Anti-Semitism is a system of belief and worldview based on judeophobic stereotypes, which is anchored in the collective consciousness of Western thought and feeling structures and is stored in communicative memory through language usage patterns that have been reproduced for centuries. The content of this system is not only determined cognitively, but also significantly emotionally. This is reflected in current anti-Semitic texts and their pronounced hate imagery. This article uses empirical data to discuss the relevance of the emotional dimension (which has so far received little attention) in explaining current (and also historical) antisemitism. The focus is on the phenomenon of verbal anti-Semitism, i.e. violence against Jews and Judaism mediated by language. It is about the (culturally shaped) emotional potential and the stereotype-preserving semantics of linguistic structures that reflect a judeophobic world view. The conceptualization on which current anti-Semitism is based is explained, with anti-Semitic resentment being explained as a cultural-historical emotional value.
