Abstract: The Jewish community has twice the number of people aged over 60 compared to the general population and yet the majority of our creative energy and resources is directed towards young people. As life expectancy continues to increase every year, it becomes crucial to assess how ready the Jewish community is to cope with this ever-increasing cohort, how best it can maximise this potential resource and how it can best serve people as they age within it.  The purpose of this report is to investigate what it is like for people as they age within the Jewish community and, taking account of our comprehensive consultation with over 450 people, make recommendations for the way forward.
