Abstract: The author articulates some identity postures related to the Jews of France that can be observed in support of the enunciation in French, generated by the massacres of October 7, 2023, in Israel and during the Israel-Hamas war. She examines the discussions that are revived in the commentary space of Le Figaro, in digital version. Two analytical
perspectives are invoked when the observable is Jewish identity : the endogenous and the exogenous optics. In the essay, the author submits the question of the researcher’s ethical commitment to reflection and recounts different perspectives of identity that can be perceived, through language, in the discursive contributions of Delphine Horvilleur, a writer-rabbi, of Nathan Arofe, a young Jewish surgeon, and of anonymous enunciators. Among the common concepts, we find an omnipresent anxiety, the feeling of a change of scenery and a break in space and
time, but also reassurance thanks to the return to Yiddish culture.
