Abstract: The study was conducted in Austria, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Knowledge of the Holocaust is limited and uneven across nations. Strong support exists across countries for preserving knowledge of the Holocaust. Knowledge about the Holocaust leads people to see it as important, as a horrendous lesson that should be remembered and understood by society, and taught to succeeding generations to help ensure that it will never again occur.
