Abstract:
The Commission on Jewish Schools published its report on 'The Future of Jewish Schools' in July 2008. The report made 23 recommendations, including the creation of the Schools Strategy Implementation Group (SSIG). This group prioritized and oversaw an initial implementation phase over a three-year period. This review will examine the achievements and developments over the past three years and suggest ways in which the needs of Jewish schools can be met in the future.

Abstract:
In response to the growing debate around education issues, Commission on Jewish Schools was created to give urgent consideration to matters such as supply and demand, faith, government policy, and quality. This document is the main formal consultation, in which the Commission established the issues they want to address in the following five areas: (1) future supply and demand, (2) Jewish ethos, (3) leadership and governance, (4) funding, and (5) the wider educational and political issues.
