Abstract

This publication commemorates 350 years since the first known settlement of Jews in what would become the United States of America in 1654. Included are essays by three authors, as well as photographs and a time line of the events of American Jewish history. The essays are entitled "History, Memory and Jewish Identity"; "Historical Memory and Jewish Identity: 350 Years of American Jewish History: What Do They Mean?"; and "Celebrating the 350th Anniversary".
