Abstract
This document is designed to do several things.
It shows how Gateshead Council and its partners through the Gateshead Strategic
Partnership are continually looking at finding new and better ways of engaging and working
with the Borough’s communities.
It demonstrates the benefits of tailoring an engagement process according to the specific
needs of a community – in this case the cultural requirements of Gateshead’s Orthodox
Jewish community.
And it shows the benefits of communities and service providers sharing information together to
help services become more tailored and focussed on local priorities.
